Happy Friday, friends! With summertime officially around the corner (YAY!!), I can’t think of a better way to celebrate than with a Lavender Bee’s Knees summer cocktail! This easy-to-make, four ingredient cocktail recipe brings an elevated twist on the classic Bee’s Knees recipe that’s been around for decades. This unique cocktail has the perfect balance of dry and sweet making it light and refreshing for the warm months ahead. If you’re not feeling the lavender flavor, just use the original simple syrup instead.
Lavender Bee’s Knees Cocktail
Prep time: 3 minutes
Total time: 3 minutes
Ingredients:
1 oz. Lavender Simple Syrup (I got this one from Amazon!)
1 teaspoon honey
1 oz. freshly squeezed lemon juice
2 oz. gin (I used Empress 1908)
Crushed ice
Lemon peel for garnish
Cocktail Instructions:
1. Add 1 ounce Lavender Simple Syrup and 1 teaspoon honey into your shaker and stir for about 30 seconds (this will help the honey dissolve).
2. Roll lemon on hard surface (gets the juices flowing!), cut lemon in half and squeeze juice from lemon into your 1 oz. shot glass.
3. Add 1 ounce lemon juice, 2 ounces of gin, and crushed ice into shaker.
4. Shake well for about 30 seconds.
5. Strain mixture into a coupe drinking glass.
6. Garnish with lemon peel and serve!
Garnish Instructions:
1. Use a knife, citrus or vegetable peeler to peel the skin of the lemon.
2. Twist the peel into a curly-q shape. The peel should naturally hold its shape.
3. Use lemon twist as garnish for your cocktail!
