Father’s Day is this Sunday and because I know I’m not the only procrastinator out there, my Father’s Day Gift Guide is nearly 100 percent from Amazon (all but two!) to ensure delivery before the weekend 😁 I included items that my dad currently owns and loves, as well as things that I thought he (and we!) would enjoy, especially given the quarantine circumstances.
Hammock
With nearly 8,000 five-star reviews, I can’t think of a better gift than a portable mini oasis. Your dad can set this up in the backyard, bring it to a park, camping, the list is endless! Gift it on its own, or pair it with a book, sunglasses, portable speaker, or a hat!
Waterproof Portable Speaker
I definitely did not think that my dad would want one of these (or use it), but he proved me wrong when he went out and bought one for himself a few weeks ago! It’s great for any activity – whether he’s into fishing, grilling, BBQing, or just hanging out. It’s something he and the whole fam will use. Pair it with a Spotify gift card!
Jumbo Jenga
With summer officially here and quarantine unfortunately still in effect, I feel like everyone should step up their backyard activities and Jenga definitely elevates – I mean EVERYONE loves Jenga! Fun fact, my dad has never played Jenga so I also really want to buy it for him, haha.
Grill light + Grill Set
A nice stainless steel grill set (this one comes with 19-pieces!) never disappoints! I also found this light that I thought would be cool to pair it with. Bring over some burgers, and/or his favorite case of beer, and put those new tools to work!
Popcorn Popper
For the dad that are really missing movie theaters right now, fill this under $15 popcorn popper (with almost 2,000 five-star reviews!) with his favorite popcorn (here is a good gourmet option if you want to make it fancy!), candy and a few new movies for him to binge – either DVD form or with a streaming gift card or membership!
Yeti Mug + Milk Frother
Nothing better than a mug that keeps your drink at the temperature you want it all morning! I’ve been using mine for iced coffee lately and it works SO well. Pair it with a frother (I’ve heard SO many good things about this one), a bag of coffee and creamer for the dad who loves his morning cup of joe.
Cold Brew Maker + Coffee
If your dad already has too many mugs to count and is more of an iced coffee guy, then this cold brew maker is a shoo-in! This one is under $15 and there have been SO many positive things said about this one, along with the coffee linked above. It’s on my “must try” list as well.
Foot Massager
When was the last time our dads got a good foot massage? I know mine hasn’t in a very long time and I’m sure after a day’s work, he wouldn’t mind getting pampered a bit. Pair this with a sock set (linked below), or with some nice, slip-on slippers!
Sock set (also here)
I got my dad a few silly socks for Christmas and he could not stop laughing – he absolutely loved them! All the socks he owns are pretty plain so I think he loved that these brought a little excitement to his drawer 😄 Ryan’s mom also got him a set like this for Christmas and he was so happy. Such an easy gift that is useful and always needed since they always seem to lose them!
Wine Membership
Get dad a monthly wine membership so he can become a wine connoisseur and find new wines he enjoys! I recently tried Winestyr (and went to an event they hosted last summer), and they have such great options! Every wine I tried in the last shipment I have repurchased because they were that tasty. Since the first shipment won’t arrive in time for Father’s Day, buy his favorite bottle of wine and add a note letting him know you’re hoping to grow his favorite wine list by the end of the year with Winestyr (or Cooper’s Hawk is another good one!).
Gas Gift Card
If you saw last year’s Father’s Day Gift Guide, you know this was on the list then too. A gift card for gas and a car wash is still one of my favorite gifts to give because it’s a necessity for dad. My dad used to randomly surprise me by filling my car up with gas before he went to work in the morning. To get into my car and see that gas ticker unexpectedly go to full always put a smile on my face. So now, whenever I am able, I randomly return the gesture!
Bike
This is a larger investment but if you want to (and can) splurge on your dad, it’s a gift that would be worthwhile especially given the current circumstances. Bikes are a great way to get your dad to exercise more (especially since most of the gyms and pools are closed right now), and if you have a bike, it’s a great way to get some dad time in! I didn’t link any bike recommendations here as I think you’d want to talk to a sales associate to ensure you’re getting one that is right for your dad.
