Easy Sangria Recipe – Birthday Edition

Today, my youngest sister, Gabby, turned 21 and I’m experiencing a roller-coaster of emotions to say the least (I can’t even imagine how my mom is feeling!). It’s like I blinked and suddenly there’s a beautiful, young lady standing before me. For those that don’t know Gabby, simply put, she is the best. Her bubbly, positive personality is one-of-a-kind and will captivate you instantaneously. Ugh, I love her so much. Unfortunately for me, she’s currently studying at Mizzou so I’ll be cheers-ing her via FaceTime tonight 🥂.

Since I won’t be there in person, she had one request for me – share a post with an easy sangria recipe, so this post is dedicated to her. Gabs, don’t get overwhelmed by the number of ingredients – it seems like a lot, but isn’t! Once you get past that, it’s super easy to make and so delicious (I taste-tested it for you 😁). Just make sure you drink plenty of water in between gulping these down so you don’t get a hangover (tip you’ll learn: the more sugar in a drink the worse the hangover).

If you’ve never made sangria, this easy sangria recipe won’t disappoint! It’s the perfect party drink as you can make it ahead of time and refrigerate it (for up to two days), or you can enjoy it right away. You can also swap out the fruits I used for others of your choice. Serve Sangria with olives, cheese and crackers, or bruschetta, and maybe even offer a variety of other drinks for your guests depending on the occasion.
