Recently, my two friends – Justyna and Serg – got engaged, and having been friends with both of them since high school, I was over the moon excited. I had already picked out the shirt I was going to gift Justyna a while ago (in anticipation for this day 🤗), but I needed to pair it with something that was a gift for the both of them, and you can never go wrong with champs! Instead of gifting just the bottle, I got creative and combined my three favorite things (champagne, chocolate and pineapples) into a DIY pineapple champagne bottle that is sweet in all the right ways!
This quick and easy DIY project is the perfect housewarming, engagement, birthday, hostess or new years eve gift (the list goes on). I mean, champs is great and all, but champs AND chocolate? Can it get any better than that?!

DIY Pineapple Champagne Bottle
Outfit Details: Striped Tee // Distressed Jeans // Watch // Bracelet
Materials
- 1 bottle of champagne
- Packing tape or duct tape (optional)
- 4 boxes of Ferrero Rocher
- 4 sheets of green construction paper
- Scissors
- Hot glue gun
- Gold ribbon
- Clear cello gift wrap (I went to my local grocery store and asked for some at the flower station!)
- T-shirt (optional)
Instructions
Step 1: Cut long, narrow leaves out of your green construction paper – I think I made about 10 total – and cut slits (I made the slits vary in size) into each leaf leaving about 3 to 4-inches of room on the bottom.
Step 2: Open your scissors as wide as possible and place one of the blades against the cut-out-strips, holding the blade at approximately a 45-degree angle. Press down gently on the blade and scrape it along the strip toward the opposite end to give it a little curl at the ends (similar to how you’d curl ribbon). Set the leaves aside.
Step 3: Plug in your hot glue gun.
Step 4 (Optional): Wrap the champagne bottle with packing tape making sure the sticky part is facing you. If you don’t have packing tape, you can just glue the chocolate directly to the bottle. I used it for extra support.
Step 5: Time to start hot gluing! Take a chocolate and place a dime size amount of hot glue on the flat part of the chocolate. Start at the bottom of the champagne bottle – about an inch from the bottom – and adhere the chocolates in a line, moving up in a circle. Repeat, until chocolates meet the bottom of the neck and stop.
Step 6: Take your green leaves and hot glue them to the neck of the bottle, having them stick out a bit at the top.
Step 7: Glue another line of chocolates over the leaves, hiding the bottom of the construction paper.
Step 8: Wrap the bottle in clear cello wrap and tie the ribbon at the neck. Curl the ribbon with scissors and voila! Your fancy DIY pineapple champagne bottle is ready to gift 😁.
